Earlier this month we opened our new boutique in Newcastle city centre, moving our store from our first boutique on Shakespeare Street into the beautiful Central Arcade. Our old boutique is now home to our HQ, design studio and showroom for our official stockists.
It's been an exciting time for us all, however moving to our new location was not without hiccups. As with any move, be it a house or a shop, moving locations is always a challenge even with a great team to hand. We only had a week to turn around our new store and by working around the clock it all came together in the nick of time for our grand opening. Our opening day was a fantastic success with all of our regular and loyal customers coming to join us in our celebrations, we also had a lovely warm welcome to the arcade with a delivery of cakes from Cafe Royal (they didn't last long).
We hope you'll like what we've done with the place....
As a designer it didn't phase me creating the new look for our store, my vision was to project who we are as a brand by creating a luxurious boutique environment. Every detail was crucial and I considered everything from the floor colour to the pen pot situated on the cash desk, even our pens and stationary are metallic gold. I think the most quirky feature I introduced would have to be our bespoke scarf rack spelling our name. My favourite part however are our glass shelving and amazing lighting fixtures which simply showcase our jewellery in the way it deserves.
By using glass, copper polished metals and mirrored walls to create light and space I couldn't be more pleased with the finished result, it's a perfect progression for us visually and really shows who we are as a brand today.
The Central Arcade is setting to some fantastic brands such as Space NK, Cath Kidston and Jones The Bootmaker, just to name a few and we are very proud to be part of Newcastle's most up and coming shopping area.
It's been an amazing journey for us since we opened our first store in 2010 and we are thrilled to have moved our boutique to such a prestigious part of our city.
Make sure to pop in and see us, we are next door to Starbucks, inside the Arcade.
